ISO Format ISO Format

When the downloaded file is in an ISO format, the file needs to be extracted with a small piece of software called MagicDisc. MagicDisc is available to the public, free of charge.

Installing MagicDisc

Right click the link below and click "Save Target As..." and save the file to your Desktop:

1 - Double click the new magicdisc.exe file on your desktop

2 - Click Next

3 - Click Next



4 - Click Next

5 - Installation will proceed

6 - Click Finish

7 - You will now see the icon in the system tray, in the bottom right hand corner next to the clock

You have now installed the MagicDisc software.

Mounting the ISO File

8 - Right click the icon , and point to "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM"

9 - Now point to "Letter: No Media"

10 - Now click Mount

11 - In the "Mount CD/DVD Image Box", browse to the workshop, service, repair manual or parts catalogue ISO file, which you purchased and downloaded from www.electronicmanuals.co.uk and highlight the ISO file and click Open

12 - At this point the ISO you have just mounted to the the virtual drive may try to "Autorun". If it does, simply click Cancel.

13 - Goto My Computer

14 - Right click and Explore / Browse on the drive you have just mounted the ISO file to.

15 - Now look for the file "Installation Instructions.doc" and double click it for further instructions on how to install the workshop, service, repair manual or electronic parts catalogue.

Unmounting the ISO File

16 - To unmount the virtual drive right click the icon in the system tray, in the bottom right hand corner next to the clock

17 - Click Unmount All Drives

18 - Again right click the icon in the system tray, in the bottom right hand corner next to the clock

19 - Click Exit

20 - If you need to mount an ISO file to a virtual drive again, simply go to:

  • Start => Programs => MagicDisc
  • Click MagicDisc

(NOTE: MagicDisc starts up automatically when starting your PC)

21 - Please ensure you keep this ISO file and do not delete it. After all it is what you have paid for and contains the core files for your workshop, service, repair manual or electronic parts catalogue.

22 - You maybe required to mount the ISO file (Step 8 onwards) on some of the workshop, service, repair manuals or electronic parts catalogue. If this is the case, it will clearly be indicated in the "Installation Instructions.doc" file in Step 15.
